i need a haircut!

since we're on the topic of ramblings...let me ramble abt my long overdue haircut. i have yet to trim it since we moved here, so that's almost 1 yr and 3 mths! n it's curly - curly long hair is crazy to manage, even though i can tie it all up easily, it's still a hassle when it comes to washing and drying. and the occasional times that i do let it down, i take forever to style it right so that the curls dont go every single direction possible.

i have also not thread my eyebrows...and i am not wearing much makeup these days too. i dun even paint my nails anymore. hmmm....this is bad huh? not painting my nails is like the clearest sign that i dun care how i look anymore. LOL.

it's ok, i still bathe. hahahahahahahahaha! like i said, just hear me ramble.

stupid rain

it's been raining the whole weekend. it's not a huge storm but it's super windy making it impossible to hold a brolly properly, oh well, it's not like the brolly shields u from any rain.

a simple trip to the grocery store took me 3 hours to and fro. carrying 2 grocery bags home while trying to manage the brolly was a feat as well. i refuse to take the cab becos i believe it is just rain and i can walk home, needless to say halfway home i was cursing myself. then there's the issue with my stupid skin that still hasnt gotten use to the chills, it breaks out in hives (thank god they go away in an hour or so).

argh. stupid rain, stupid sunday. *rambles rambles*

alone in new home

the boy left me! well, for texas and only for 4 days but still! he left me all alone in our new home! BOOHOOHOO!

he took off this morning for some happening conference in austin, texas where the sun is shining and deep fried food is the norm. oh and it is also the city with the most number of smokers in america. not so good for the recovering lung of his.

anyway, the good news is, i am left with this macbook for the weekend! YAY YAY YAY! i will try to upload photos of the house!

full of surprises

this week has been full of lil surprises. 

first the doctor. ok that was quite a big surprise. the examination for a surprise, the series of tests he wants to run on me following the examination is another surprise. but what the hell, i have to go for those tests. becos the boy says so. see i live by the motto, what you duno wont kill u. so i rather not know. the boy lives by the motto of knowing is better than not knowing. n he's very very kia-si when it comes to health matters. 

second my baking of macarons. the first 2 attempts were sad failures. i didnt even manage to pop anything into the oven. the batter itself failed. but this week, voila! perfect chocolate macarons! will post photos later. 

third my boy. he's been leaving lil notes ard the house saying sweet stuff before leaving for work...sending me sweet emails during the day, even gg as far as sending a stupid lil sweet video...and even gg to nyc for work had him coming back with a small tub of greek yoghurt from my fav place. 

maybe he's trying to comfort me after what happened with the doctor. ha!
