children's museum

the boy was so excited abt taking me to a museum on saturday afternoon, turns out - he took me to a children's museum. when i told him it's a museum/playground for kids all he said was, "yeah, it'll be fun!!!"
i didnt think the children's museum was his kinda thing but it was mine so we went! soooooo many many kids. like i said, it was a huge playground for kids. it was cute, seeing so many kids running around. we still managed to enjoy the museum as it's visually all so cute for grown ups.

here's us being big kids!

there are plenty plenty more photos but i cant upload everything, will take way too long...oh and the boy bought stuff from the toy shop! tsk tsk....big baby.

little italy

there's chinatown here and there's little italy - the north end. very very touristy place and filled with nothing but italian restaurants. within the north end, there are 2 sides, one side is filled with shopping (the usual brands u get in boston), american bars and street performances. look at the amount of people just looking at street dancing!

the boy then took to me fiore, an italian restaurant, at the other side of the north end that only has italian restaurants. the competition has gotta be stiff but, every restaurant is packed! the boy is a bigger fan of italian food than i am....he loves it, somemore the wine so cheap only. but i must say, the food was very very good and i managed to squeeze in dessert after pasta!

it does look like europe...esp with the lights and all.

art by the pier

monday was a public holiday - memorial day. and we decided to do chinese brunch at our fav dim sum place, yummy!!!! afterwhich, we headed to the pier where the institute of contemporary art is. we've been dying to go visit the gallery of shepard fairey there since we got here!

shepard fairey is behind the famous Obey Giant and it's a pity that we couldnt take photos in the gallery cos it was sooooo good. i love the work. here are some of his work that i love.

we regret not stealing the huge poster at the clear channel site right outside of apartment. TSK.

after ICA, we had coffee by the pier under the sun....and what's great abt it was it's not hot n sticky, it was pleasant cos it was still windy but not chilly.

the view.....amazing. and it was quiet....

we decided to head home to grab a drink n lay under the sun. the boy says we cant be white when summer comes. talk about who's vainer man.
memorial day was good. :o)
