having no taste might be a blessing...

i'm talking abt my choice of men. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! not! (another post tt if the boy knew, my head will roll)

so we went furniture shopping on saturday. we went to get a matress, he asked how would he know which one suits him. obviously the salesman went, "ERM. you lie on it and try it?". and then the boy asked which bed will be good for his back cos he's got a bad back, the salesman said, "can i be blunt? it's not the bed. it's all you. you need to do some exercise. stop being old! get out and do some exercise!" BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. oh, the salesman was gay, hence a lil bitchy, but he's a super nice guy, we love him.

anyhow, that's not what i wanna blog abt. so we bought a bed frame too. a white one of the usual bed height. we were deciding between that or the lower bed frame, but cos i didnt want a low bed, we got the other one. so that was sat night.

sat night before we slept, he says he doesnt like the bed frame cos it's got a middle leg and he can see it sticking out which is ugly to him. so we had thought of various things to hide the leg, baskets, luggage (which i think is uglier than seeing the leg), skirting for the matress (which he thinks is feminine but doesnt mind), etc.

sun evening, he says he doesnt like the bed frame cos it's got legs. not just the middle leg, but the fact that it's got legs, he wants those with a platform instead. so i'm like, why the hell did we buy it if you dun like it??? i convinced him that after 2 months, after placing the matress with bedsheets and all, he wont notice the legs.

sun night before we slept, he says he wants to return the bed cos he thinks it's an awful bed frame and the only reason why we bought it is cos i like it and he's afraid tt we cant find anything else. *slams his head against the wall* it's not 80 bucks you know, how can you buy something when you dun like it and take 24 hours to decide tt you really dun like it??? he says it needs to be perfect and it's not now and he's sorry that he's being anal.

so i told him do what he wants, cos i can adapt better than he can adapt to "ugly" things in the house. then he thought abt it and said it's ok, we should just leave it, it's a basic and affordable bed, and there's nothing wrong with it.

and monday afternoon he calls me to ask me to call the furniture place to enquire if we can return the bed and if it comes in a lower height. lucky he called and didnt come n tell me face to face, or i would stuff a banana into his ear. n after i told him we can return it, he says "do you want to? cos i'm ok with just leaving it but only if u r ok with it."

SINCE WHEN WAS I THE ONE NOT OK WITH THE BED???

we always laughed abt how i have less taste than he does. well, having no taste is good now ain't it? at least i'm not the one losing sleep over a freaking bed frame. HMPF.

but ok la, he's sweet, he thot i liked it and didnt want us sleeping on a matress tt's why he bought it. i'm not angry with him, n we didnt fight over the bed, in fact we think it's hilarious tt we're talking abt a bed frame that much. and it's only our first piece of furniture. i can't imagine how we're gonna get all the furniture for the house. *cringe*

we had super good weather over the weekend! it was about 12 degrees, girls were out in tube dresses and flip flops ONLY. hahahahahaha! boys were out in berms and tees, we wonder what they wear (or if they do at all) when it comes to summer. i wanted to go out in just jeans and a sweater, and the boy reminded me it's 12, not 20. when you have -2 almost everyday, 12 can feel like 20.

and we caught a movie on sat night! watchmen. i am going to read the boy's comic book. n it felt like a normal night back home, movie and dinner.... :o) and we found great authentic jap restaurant on sunday! FINALLY.

i'm off to make burgers for tonight!!! the boy is so looking forward to burgers it's stressing me out a lil now.
