ads here are horrid in the morning, great at night n dirty in the late night. morning ads - you get lawyers and doctors or carpenters talking straight into the camera selling their services. cheapskate ads. alot of ads on education as well. all the not nice ads all appear in the morning.
night ads are great, really really good ads. some cheesy but nicely cheesy, like this macdonald ad (it's 4 bucks for 2 set meals by the way), it's got a scruffy man sitting on a chair at home eating a fillet-o-fish and there's a fake fish hanging on the wall that breaks into the song:
gimme that fillet-o-fish, gimme that fish
gimme that fillet-o-fish, gimme that fish
what if it were you hanging up on this wall,
what if it were you in that sandwich,
you won't be laughing at all!
(and here is the commerical - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xD64OhbG4ps)
i've been singing that, in the same irritating tone as the fish. the boy thinks i watch way too much tv. hahahahahahaha!
target has beautiful ads too, with a really nice track to it, we love that track, it's so uplifting!!! quite not like the real target stores tho....the stores look a bit depressing, might have been the neighbourhood we were in.
oh and late at night, u get booty-call ads!!! u have many ads on this "call this number to have hot nights with hot girls and boys"!!!! u get 2 blonde chicks, look like twins, wearing the same slutty outfit, n they are talking on the phone pushing out their asses and boobies looking coy. *pengsans*
and, ordering in food is fantastic la!!!! there's a website, u type in your address, they list down which restaurants deliver (and it's all kinds, thai, jap, chinese, italian, american, etc). u browse thru, u order and choose to pay by cash or card, they arrive in 40 mins. simple as tt. love it. and 40 mins!! unlike lousy macdonalds, it's fast food n they take 1 hour.
i tried ordering my fav godiva chocolate cheesecake from the cheesecake factory this afternoon - they only take cards. :o( i'll post a photo of this crazy cake soon, it's AMAZING. to die for. my fav dessert here.
Randomly, the skies were pretty today, not snowing anymore. it was blue with a tinge of orange, tho i dun think the photo captured tt very well.
bittergourd chef says she's gonna try nonya kueh. i think it's so cute! she's never baked before since like a decade ago, she doesnt cook alot too and the first thing she wants to do is nonya kueh. so back to the roots man. missus! do and teach me k! i wanna do my own kueh kosui!!!
and we had a convo tt went like this -
her: E and W are getting married. E's ring is cushion-cut, go check it out.
me: oh it looks nice! which one again has tt ring?
her: nicole kidman.
me: *uhm* i was referring to the girls....
her: how i know what context u referring to?
me: *double uhms*

*sings the fillet-o-fish song*
EH.. seriously. with your cracked lips, how can you eat plain white rice without sauce!!
ReplyDeleteYES, Carmex is fantastic!! lifesaver. When my lips are really dry and chapped, i used to salve on a thick thick layer and go nap..
and when i woke, i'd gently rub my finger across my lips to loosen the dry skin. Really great 'exfoliator' heh..
i should really go work for Carmex.
since i'm on Carmex, i've run out by the way........... just so you know........ havent 'exfoliated' my lips with Carmex since what, SQ?
so um... .. .. *eyebrow wiggle* ..

ReplyDeleteyour "fly-carmex-home" hint not taken. sorry. bye.
