headaches, panic attacks and going deaf

the building was testing its fire alarms today. so there was an announcement made - which can only be heard if you are at the walkways, cant really hear in the apt. it says they are testing, do not panick, but should you hear the alarm go off, do not use the lift but use the stairs. so i'm like, are you testing or not???

then the alarm goes off - and the alarm is in each and every apartment! do you know how freaking loud that is???? i had a headache from it cos it went off 11 times. each lasting abt 10 to 30 secs. and coincidentally, when it went off, the fire truck went by the building with its siren, so again i'm like, are we testing or not???

i go down, they say they are testing. fine. but everytime it goes off, i get a panic attack cos it's so loud. and after that, i swear i was a lil deaf. should have put my head in the fridge.

anyhow, last night we ordered in thai food. cos i had a craving for bubble tea and this was the only place i found tt delivers bubble tea. see the packaging! so cute right - it's like what we always see on tv when they order chinese take out. hahahahaha! the boy and i found it so cute. and the bubble tea was not nice. the pearls were hard. :o(

it's friday night and the boy has gone busy on me. he said to have dinner outside and maybe catch a movie, and now i duno which meeting he's in.

i want japanese. i crave for sashimi. we havent had jap in like 3 weeks. cos before we left, everyone was buying us jap dinners. we got a bit sick of jap, and now i want it!!! i hope he's gotten over it and eats jap with me tonight. actually, knowing him, he will. hahahahahaha!

speaking of the boy, had to run a small errand for him this morning. it involved a phone call to enquire about tax. all these american operators are like that (and that is after they make u punch in numbers indicating what you are enquiring about already) -

machine: before the agent is assigned to attend to your call, pls tell me what your enquiry is about.

me: .............

machine: i'm sorry, i did not hear what you say, pls repeat.

me: general enquiry

machine: i think you said, business enquiry, if that is correct, pls say yes.

me: no

machine: ok, i'm sorry, pls tell me what your enquiry is about.

(and this stupid convo with the machine went on for a while, i mean, i am speaking english what!!!!!!! however, finally it got it)

machine: i think you said, general enquiry, if that is correct, pls say yes.

me: yes

machine: ok, pls tell me, using specific words to describe your enquiry.

(i wanted to hang up. if it wasnt for the boy, i would have swore at the machine, but it's recorded, so better not)

thinking back now, what if i had said "ch** b**". wonder how long it will take the machine to repeat it right.
