Our first 4th July!!!!

i must admit never did i think i will ever "celebrate" america's 4th july. i mean, a year ago, 4th july = independence day = movie with aliens to me. it didnt concern me at all. and this yr, the boy and i had beer and champagne with frens at a bar in the evening, had nachos for dinner (cos we were stuffed from lunch!) and then headed to the charles river's bridge together with 200,000 other bostonians. we waited 40 mins for fireworks!!! and it was totally worth it cos the fireworks were awesome and it lasted for over 30 mins! i have never seen such elaborated fireworks. it filled up the sky and it was soooooo beautiful.

for someone who's never even been to the national day parage back home, have never really counted down new year's at some open space nor have i ever been to a zouk out, i must say i survived the crowd quite well. the roads leading to the bridge were closed and it was packed. LOOK!!!!

thankfully, boston nights are still cold and windy, it didnt make squeezing in the crowd smelly or sticky. in fact, it gave us enough warmth to be there without jackets. hahahaha!

these photos do not do the fireworks justice at all. but see! the fireworks filled up the entire image! they were huuuuuuuge!!!!

we walked home after tt. we walked 40 mins, across roads altho not all roads were closed. pple just didnt care! anyone who was driving tt night will never get anywhere cos pple just didnt allow cars to move! walking from boston to cambridge with soooo many pple everywhere, i swear last night, the whole of boston was out.
as we walked home the boy says he's happy he spent his first 4th july with me. :o)
